Emerick Corsi
Vice-President of Real Estate Development
Emerick Corsi has over 40 years of experience in the Real Estate and Development business. Mr. Corsi spent 38 years with Forest City Enterprises holding various positions of Leadership. Emerick started his career as the Manager of Leasing at Forest City and ended his career as the President of Commercial Development and Real Estate Services. During his career at Forest City, Mr. Corsi developed over 15 million square feet of shopping centers and mixed-use development. Emerick was involved coast to coast with many award-winning projects: Victoria Gardens in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, The Promenade in Temecula, CA, large scale projects in the Burroughs of New York, and Tower City Center in Cleveland, Ohio.
Later in his career, Mr. Corsi started Real Estate Services. Real Estate Services combined the skill sets of, Financial, development, and construction consulting to cities, States, and private owners. Some of the significant achievements during this time were consulting for the city of Oakland, CA on Coliseum City, a multi-purpose sporting venue with entertainment, housing, and offices. The Orlando Airport Authority developed a program to expand an international terminal, adding better hotels, entertainment and a merchandise plan for a better retail mix.
In addition, Emerick was heavily involved on a Federal level with Transit-Oriented Development (TOD). Mr. Corsi and his team wrote several new legislation on the Federal Level and testified before Congress on innovative ideas for financing and maintaining stations and transit lines.
In June of 2015, Mr. Corsi embarked on the Pinecrest Development in Orange, Ohio. One year from opening in June 2018, Pinecrest was awarded a Gold by the Internation- al Council of Shopping Centers as the best Mixed-Use project in the United States. Mr. Corsi is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, Urban Land Institute, and was the previous Chair of the ICSC Management Conference. Mr. Corsi has taught case studies of real estate development at Wharton School of Business, Cornell University, Bowling Green State University, and Central Michigan
University. Mr. Corsi holds Bachelors's Degree in Business from Bowling Green and a Masters from Central Michigan University.
